smoker bag Smokin' Bag
Williams Smoker Bag

Buy a Smoker Box!

I luv the smokey taste in food, whether it is fish, chicken, beef, vegetables or even tofu! In the summer you can use an outdoor water smoker or an indoor Smoker Box filled with Hickory or Mesquite Chips. In the winter, short of schleping the grill out on an mild winter's day, you can use liquid smoke or a smoker bag in your oven.

I recently tried the Williams smoker bag for chicken and potatoes. It is quick and easy with no-mess and it comes all the way from Finland! Maittava! The aluminum foil bag has wood (Alder) chips embedded between layers with pinholes in the foil allowing the smokey flavor to seep through. The bag was large and filled more than the instructions called for. I put about 3 lbs of chicken plus 3 small potatoes. I could have easily doubled the quantity. In 25 minutes I had a wonderfully cooked meal for four that smelled oh-so-wonderful. The chicken breast was wonderfully moist and the potatoes were smokin!

I was careful in opening up the foil bag as I wanted to see if I would be able to re-use it. No such luck. The seams of the bag came apart. As such the bag a very pricey one shot deal ($29.00 including shipping and handling; Williams Foods, Inc.1-800-255-6736). As a more cost effective gadget we recommend purchasing a Smoker Box.
